March 2020

The Government has raised New Zealand’s Covid-19 alert to Level 3 and in 48 hours it will be raised to Level 4.
This means all non-essential services must close. This includes The Hornby Club. The Club will be closing at the end of service tonight (Tuesday 24 March).
All New Zealanders, not working in essential services, are now being asked to stay at home, however, please note that leaving the house for exercise or a walk is still allowed as long you do this solitary or with other members of your household.

We put a newsletter on our website late yesterday afternoon about COVID-19 preparations at the Club and since then the situation has once again changed. Be assured we are taking this very seriously and doing all we can to keep staff, members and visitors safe and well.

We are using Facebook and our website to provide immediate updates so please continue to check these sites regularly for information.

Indoor Gatherings – Number Restrictions

An important update for members, guests and visitors

Things are moving along nicely in the new buildings on site. The dramatic transformation stages are completed with the walls up and roof on, but now we are in the stage of all the internal work from electrics and plumbing, to building and lining internal walls and installing all the fittings.

Some photos below from our walk through of the site yesterday.
