Building Updates

The official opening date for phase one of the Club’s redevelopment will be Wednesday, 14th October.

This includes the opening of our beautiful new pavilion, three new courtyards, the pool room and of course our new bar. We can’t wait to see you there!

The fit out of the new Club is coming along smoothly. We have beautiful new joinery and the timber features look incredible.

Things are moving along nicely in the new buildings on site. The dramatic transformation stages are completed with the walls up and roof on, but now we are in the stage of all the internal work from electrics and plumbing, to building and lining internal walls and installing all the fittings.

Some photos below from our walk through of the site yesterday.

Pavilion progress

While work on the new buildings continues at pace, we have also now started working through the renovation of the parts of the building that will be staying.

So in January that means we have got stuck into renovations of the snooker and pool rooms, and also started on the earthquake strengthening of the kitchen.

We are also seeing progress inside the new building with updates on the Pavilion and Main Bar as you can see below.

We put the drone up to get a birds-eye perspective of how the build is progressing and it is impressive!

The whole complex is really taking shape now, from one end to the other.

Progress has bee continuing rapidly on the build, as the construction crew swing into the Pavilion build.

If you look at our design flythrough on our Facebook page, you can start to clearly see some of the elements showing up in the progress photos.

The Pavilion design is largely glass, with feature beams a highlight of the front of the building.

Concrete has been laid for the pavilion, roof panels have been lifted into place and you can see the main bar and mezzanine floor taking shape.

Things are moving at pace now!

Progress is continuing rapidly at the Club with walls up, ceiling joists and now some of the ceilings going in.

Exciting times!

The contract with Contract Construction has been signed and it's all go on the redevelopment front. As soon as the foundation work has been completed the building will start.

The first bit of concrete slab has gone down in the wee hours of this chilly August morning. It's exciting to see it starting to take shape.

The weather is improving, and our building is starting to take shape.

The latest images show the building's outline with the majority of concrete foundation now complete.
